These people sitting next to me are hotly debating Doctor Who and whether or not you should actually be sad if someone dies if they just come back or live a full life in the past.
The girl is making very valid, articulate arguments and the guy just keeps repeating “Rory” to every point she makes
call us brutal, sick, sadistic, and grotesquely optimistic
‘cause way down deep inside we’ve got a dream!
WHY IS THIS GIF SET NOT AROUND MORE?!
I like that they’re all so supportive of one another, but still decide to crack in skulls when they get mad.
Such good friends.
This is like, the opposite of that scene from High School musical where the guy admits he plays the cello
I love it when TV shows reference my hometown! The episode of Criminal Minds takes place there, and there was a season 1 episode of Supernatural where Dean Winchester told people that he was a victim’s cousin from “up north—near Modesto”.
Modern Westeros - The Riverlands
What sets the Riverlands apart from some of the other kingdoms, is the lack of large industry that runs the entirety of the economy. It’s a small-business culture that thrives on the sense of community. It’s simple living, life-long neighbors, and the culmination of specializations of the other kingdoms. There are many fishing communities along the Trident, which does play a major part in the kingdom’s economy. There’s a large mix of varying demographics from the wealthy to the under privileged. Being in the center of Westeros, most trade routes run straight through the Riverlands.
Modern Westeros - The Reach
Like the Vale, the Reach is one of the most prosperous kingdoms. Over time, the Citadel expanded and is now home to the largest institutions of higher learning that is no longer exclusive to men. Tourism is a major factor, thanks to the Tyrell’s large chain of hotels and resorts. It is still home to some of the most fertile farm land which supplies many of the other kingdoms with varying fruits, vegetables, and grains. As seriously as the Reach took the tourneys of old, so it does new fields of athletics and is the dream destination for all aspiring competitors. There is a sense of pride in everything that is done here.
Modern Westeros - The Stormlands
The Stormlands was once a prosperous kingdom; it’s primary industry was steel and textiles, but when the automotive boom happened, the storm lords made it their job to monopolize the industry for themselves. Most of its economy relied on automobile production and when the recession came, it crippled most of the kingdom. Factories shut down, businesses closed up. Today much of the kingdom is treading on and below the poverty line, while the former CEOs of these failed companies still keep cash flowing through their pockets. Organized crime is steadily rising while hurricanes keep most of coast in constant disrepair.
